He Seems to be better
The Dr told Robert yesterday that he needed to be in the hospital. Today Robert gets up and seems much better. He is not 100% but he is not complaining of pain in his pancreas. The Dr office called and said his Cat Scan was clear. He will go in the morning and have his blood level check. Robert did promise me if the levels were going up and not going down he would go to the hospital to be put on a IV. He is suppose not to eat anything except broth or water. The only way you can cure pancresitis is by resting it which means no FOOD.
Do you have a husband that you have to pull information out of? I do!!! He finally shared with me last night the Dr said is level of pancrestist was in the moderate level. Something about your level should be in the 100's. Robert was in the 7,000.
Shows you the power of prayer!
Elijah stayed home with a tummy ache today. He told me though that the other kids at school said when they are sick they ALWAYS get a new toy... He said it with a very sly smile.

Update on Robert
Robert's Dr called and he does have pancreatist . His blood levels are all out of whack. He will be having a cat scan at 4:00 today to rule out gallstones. The most common reason for pancreatist is from drinking alcohol . Robert does not drink. He said that 15% of the population has pancreatist for unknown reason. He also said Robert needs to be in the hospital on no food but a IV...
Of course Robert is stubborn and thinks that just he feels a little better that he is getting better. He told the Dr lets wait and see what my cat scan shows before I go to the hospital....
I am going to try to convince him differently when he gets home. Pancreatist can be very serious and life threatening if he does not take care of himself
Again please pray
Robert is really sick
Several years ago Robert had pancreatist .We think it has flared up again. He went to the Dr today and they did all the blood work needed to find out if it is flared up again. They also did a ultrasound too see if he has gallstones because this can cause pancreatitis to flare up. . He is in alot of pain and is taking narcotics to help. We hope to get all test results in the morning. I will keep you updated
Updated.... Dr called and they did not get a good US scan, so he is sending him to get a CAT scan. Robert went to work this morning. He looked really bad and he promise me he would come home if the pain became worse. The Dr told me that he really does not need to be at work... So the Dr is going to call him....
I will keep you posted... Please Pray!

Happy Birthday Honey
Happy Birthday to my incredible handsome husband. Today is Robert's 45th Birthday. Robert is a man that loves God, his wife and his kids ( yes in that order). He cherishes his family and is the best Daddy to our kids. He came along when I was a single Mom with three kids and still asked me to marry him. Now that makes him a saint.....I am still madly in love with him after 12 years. Happy Birthday , From Your forever wife!
PS... The cutie beside him is his look alike son ( Our baby Elijah)

Guess What We got in NC today
SNOW! Well if you want to call it snow. It was more slush! School was called off of course with no snow on the road! The kids went outside at 8:30 Am to play in the slush with rain falling at the time. I could not say no because it is rare to get snow anymore here in my hometown of Mooresville NC.. Elijah came in soaked but said that was so much fun Mom! This is the first time he can remember a snow fall. I think the last snow we had when he was 1 year old. He even had to call his friends who live right across the street to see if it snowed at their house too! Hey I was excited too. I did not sleep well from the excitement that it might snow and got up several times just too look out the window! We MIGHT even get some more slush this weekend! Enjoy the pictures...

Call me a Slacker!
Sorry I have not posted in a few days. I have been extremely busy with STUFF! This past weekend we had the family over for Birthday celebrations for THREE of our kids! Robert cooked a Boston Butt on the grill for some good ole Southern Barbecue. I made a huge pot of Chili beans . I know Chili beans and barbecue do not go together, but it was delicious!
I started on my Consignment Sale this week... For those who wonder what this is all about go check my website out. http://terikidzconsign.com/ This will be my 18th sale and it s HUGE undertaking. There is also making some new changes for the sale. First a new and bigger location. Second the sale shopping days will start even earlier! So far from my consignors the changes have been positive. The families that participate at my sale are WONDERFUL and most have been very supported. I think one reason is because the sale is also a ministry. People want to be part of something that has meaning to others. I also use this extra income so my kids can go to private school.
Update on my Mom... She is still in the hospital. We will be meeting with the social workers and Drs Wed...Please be in prayer for my parents.
Until Later! PS Pray for SNOW... WE MIGHT GET SOME THURSDAY.... Rushing off for milk and bread

Did you see that!
History for those who are reading my blog for the first time. I was born with terrible eyesight. I started wearing glasses as a young child . When I became a teenager years ago it was not cool to have glasses. So I stop wearing them. It is a miracle I made it through my teen driving years because I could not see while I was driving. I made good grades in school and that is another feat in itself because I could not see the board! After HS I was able to wear hard contacts. As I approached 45 ( clearing my throat) my sight really started going down hill. I was having to wear hard contacts along with reading glasses to be able too see. To make matters worse I could not even read large print or even read with the kids. My husband easily talked me into getting lazik done. To make a VERY long story shorter I was not a candidate for lazik because of the severity of my eyesight plus the fact I was over 40. So I had Restore ( vision lens replacements) done. I then developed a minor complication and had a YAG procedure done. six months later I had lazik in both eyes and recently went through a touch up lazik on my left eye. This whole journey took a year!
Well I have good news to report! Yesterday one month post OP on my left eye I am now 20/20 -2 ( which basically means I am almost 20/20 . In my right eye I am 20/20. It takes about one year of healing to get final results. So now I can say I SAW that and mean it

Homework and Mom
A Praise! Mom was admitted to the hospital. I know some are thinking why would that be a Praise. My Mom is seriously emotionally and physically ill. My Dad is exhausted from dealing with her this past month. This is short term fix for my Mom but maybe we can get some answers and the family can refresh . We need to make decisions for my Mom. I again ask you for prayer for Mom and Dad. I will keep you updated. I do not know how long she will be there but pray that they will keep her until questions are answered.
Elijah brought his reading book home yesterday! I was pretty impressed on how well he did. I know he is a smart boy ! Elijah though rather be building something with KNEX than reading a book. He is also a VERY energetic kid and rather be running than be doing school. BUT he loves learning and LOVES school. Allyson has a basketball game today! I will update y'all hopefully with a win!
In one of my previous entries I ask for prayer for the following couple. The situation has turned critical especially for Mom. http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/

Happy Birthday Elijah and Back to school
On Jan 6th God gave us a precious red head boy and we named him Elijah. In my heart it seems just like yesterday that I held and nursed him for the first time. I sure wish he would stop having birthdays and stay 6! .Elijah is a smart little boy. He is now in kindergarten and is starting to read . He is going to be a Math whiz like his Daddy! Elijah is also a very affectionate little boy and tells his Daddy and I daily that he loves us. He considers himself a expert in Transformers and is willing to share his knowledge to anyone that will listen. We know he is a gift from you God . We promise as his earthly parents to teach him that his purpose in life here on earth is too love and serve you first . Happy Birthday Elijah.
The kids started back to school today. I was not happy either. I am one of theses parents that looks forwarded to having them home from school. The kids though were excited to get back. When I dropped them off at Southview Christian I told them that I was really going to miss them today. Elijah said don't be sad Mom I will be home in a couple of hours! I am sad to see them off this morning but happy that they love school!
Well I am off to do a mountain of wash and to catch up with my joys of being a housewife
PS..This is a picture of Elijah at school. I think he is a very handsome young man. ( Like his Dad)

A Tooth and Rest
Update on my Mom. She got out of the hospital. That really is not a Praise because she really needs to be care for by a medical staff. Today my very close friend and I prayed together over the situation with my family. I actually poured my heart out to my friend. She told me in love that I was not resting in God over my Mom and her health. Yes she was so right. The concern I have for my parents of course will not go away of course because I love them. I need to let go and let God. God is the greatest physician. You can't receive any better care than what comes from our heavenly Father. So Jesus I hand it all to you! I know he will guide me every step of the way!
Excitement with Elijah today. He lost his third tooth! My kids rock when it comes too loose teeth. They pull their own with EASE! I don't rock as a Mom when it is time to pull my kids teeth. Elijah tooth was hanging and when I tried to pull it , I felt sick to my stomach. He pulled it even more and then it was really hanging barely . I was able to get it out but I broke out in a sweat! Maybe this is a sign my kids might go into the dental field!
It sure is cold here in NC.... The high did not get over 35 today. Don't laugh my Northern friends ,that is bone chillin cold here. We are suppose to have a warm -up to our normal 60 this weekend. I sure it would SNOW though. Wishful thinking on my part!
Until later!
PS... Please pray this family. I was sent a link from a friend asking for prayer. This couple is having their first baby but there are serious complications. Mom is currently at Duke Hospital in NC 24 weeks along with a baby girl. Mom has CF so this makes this pregnancy high risk for both Mom and Baby. She has taken a turn for the worse and the baby might have to be delivered soon. For those who know the power of prayer PRAY! I have never met this family but they are my sister and brother in Christ. Here is the link to their blog.... http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/

The tree is down
Am I the only one that feels depressed when the Christmas Tree is taken down? Today Caroline and I took all the decorations down and packed them up for next Christmas. Robert and Allyson took everything up to our attic and Christmas is now finished. Robert returned to work today after being off for 10 days. The kids and I really enjoyed having him home. We did a lot of fun things as a family and spent time with each other which is more important. Last night Robert's parents came and ate New Years dinner with us. Barrett my father-in law said I make the best collards! I am glad they came and we enjoyed our time together.
Please keep my Momma and Dad in your prayers. I can't go in much detail but will share she was admitted to the hospital tonight. It is very hard too see your parents aging and you feel helpless at time on how to help them cope with the stress they are under right now .
More later. Nite everyone. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!
PS I read on the Internet somewhere that there is a huge infestation problem with bed bugs in NY!!!!

Collards Ham and Blackeye Peas and prayer
Happy New Year! I hope your eating your collards, ham and blackeye peas today! For those from the north that is what Southern folks eat traditionally for New Years. Collards represent (money) , Blackeyes ( luck) and ham is for (health ) OK before you wrinkle up your nose and say YUCK, you must try the collards southern style. They are delicious and terrible for your health they way we cook them, FRIED in fatback! OH well it is only once a year that I cook fresh collards this way. I have a unspoken personal prayer request. God knows exactly what is on my heart today and he is bigger than any problem I can bring to him. I know God is in control, I know he loves me, I know he loves my family and he will take care of us…I know that none of us know the outcome and I shouldn’t play thoughts of the unknown in my mind. But…I can’t help it sometimes…Satan you may hold my thoughts captive at times and you may pull me down sometimes but I have Victory and you can never win that battle!! Praise GOD for that!
Love too all this New Year Day!
OFF to eat my collards YUMMY
