Great weekend and Fainting

We had a great weekend with our family! Bill and June came down Thursday ! He LOOKS great and I can tell he is mentally ready for his next surgery. I really think it will happen soon! Friday night we went to visit then at Nanny and Papaw. Saturday night all of Robert's brother and their families came over to celebrate their Mom's ( Nanny's ) birthday! I fixed a delicious Italian Chicken dish. We were packed here in my house for sure! Later we got a Wii bowling game going. Papaw and June really rocked at bowling. I have a feeling June and Bill will be buying a Wii soon! OK here is the Fainting story. This is a copy/paste e-mail I sent out to my Church family since I scared the jeepers out of them! I am OK but laughing at my self today! Copy/paste I am getting many e-mails phone calls, facebook comments from everyone I thought it would be easier to send out a e-mail. Thank you for the love and concern ! I am fine today. Just STILL VERY embarrassed after passing out in front of the whole Church yesterday. We have always been front seat Baptist I think that is going to change next week! I felt great yesterday morning during SS. When I went to Church though I started feeling a little queasy and flushed. I thought it would pass while we were singing. I began to feel even worse and told Robert that I was very dizzy. We both sat down and my symptoms just got worse. We decide to leave. I took several steps out and all I remember was sinking in a black hole and hitting my head on the floor. The medic decided that I needed to be taken by ambulance because my BP was so high 180/100. The Dr ran blood work , many test on me and everything is normal. He said I was very healthy! He said I had all the classic symptoms of fainting. The heart beats starts beating slow and it signals your brain to shut down ( which is a good thing). They don't know why. I have never fainted before but they said if this happens again I need to get it checked out. If I was too meet Jesus that day what a better place than a Church full of family, all my Pastors and great music! I am sorry though to scare everyone. My poor family was terrified! That was the hardest part listening to my kids cry and I could not comfort them. Thank-you for those who help Allyson and Jason with the kids. I can't even remember who all gave me medical care but Robert and I are very grateful. A special thank-you to Karen Brown for shouting my REAL age out. I have been telling everyone I was 40 for the last 10 years! I still love you Karen. Your sister in Christ who is FINE at 50! Teri

This and That!

My neck/shoulder seems to be doing better. I finished my last pill yesterday. I did wake up stiff this morning in my shoulders but now I am feeling better! Sunday night I had the pleasure of hanging out with 170 plus teens at we hope the Future Fuzion Teen Center here in Mooresville. The owners of the building REDS let the teens and area Churches use the building free to watch the Super Bowl, It was LOUD, lots of MUSIC. lots of FOOD and lots of FUN! The Youth pastor association has a vision of turning the old REDS into a Faith Base Youth center. It really is a COOL place and perfect set -up. So many teens are turned off by a CHURCH setting. This will be a relax and safe place for kids to hang out. They have planned a restaurant, recording studio, I-Caffa with Internet connection, game room, and a movie theater for the facilities. here is a link to go visit http://www.fuzioncenter.com/fuzioncenter/ and donate maybe. ;-) I am looking forwarded to this weekend. Bill and June are coming in for a visit. We are ecstatic that he is doing better. My niece Kristi is having a wedding shower. We are also having surprise 70th Birthday Party for my mother-in law Billie Don't worry it will remain a surprise. She has no idea even how to cut on a computer!

Had to go to the Surgeon

Things were not getting better so Dr Sherrill sent me to a surgeon. Good news though! He showed me my XRAYS and looks like I have some spurs on my vertebrae on my neck. I someone inflamed a nerve ( probably from the Wii) and those spurs are pressing on the nerve. So we are going to try some medication to help with the inflammation. I MIGHT have to have surgery later on in my years but right now he wants to avoid surgery! This is one reason I have not updated my blog...It;s too painful to type to long.I am also working on my Consignment sale for March.. Will my life ever settle down? Allyson has a date for the PROM in April. They are just friends but you never know what God plans are. He is a VERY nice Godly young man. Very handsome also! He has a wonderful family! She is very excited about her senior year! My BIL Bill is doing well. He will be going to get his pic line out this Friday. Then we will wait until they give the OK for his next surgery! His spirits seem to be better but I know him and June are ready to get their life back! There are 3 engagements I need to announce 1. My nephew Josh Julian is engaged to a sweet girl name Lisa. 2. My brother Jimmy is engaged to a very nice lady Natalie and they are getting married June 20th 3. My best friend Lisa daughter (who I love as my own) is engaged in getting married June 20th Now I got to figure out how I am going to TWO weddings in one fay and leave for a International Mission Trip that same day... Lordy I need wisdom

Wii Injury

Seem like I am one of the thousands who have a Wii injury! Yes you read that right I hurt myself playing Wii boxing. A few weeks ago Robert and I were boxing each other (on the Wii). The kids were hysterical watching me box. They said I look like a mad women trying to beat their Daddy up. The next day I was so sore from all that boxing! Then a few days later I started having sharp pains in my neck that would travel down my arm and shoulder. I finally gave in after one night of TERRIBLE pain and went to the Dr. Everyone that knows me well I have to be in REAL BAD pain before I will see a Dr or even take medication. Dr Sherrill did a X=Ray and it showed I have a VERY mild case of arthritis in my neck. Now I felt OLD for sure. What has happen I have a pinch nerve near my neck where the arthritis is. He put me on some muscle relaxers and some inflammation drugs. I have gotten a little better but not well.If i am not better by Monday I am to call him back.FOR THE NEXT PLAN! Life goes on though. I am still cooking cleaning, being a wife and Mother. Motto of my pain... Don't box so hard on the Wii

Did I hear the S WORD????

YES I heard the word every TRUE southern wants to hear... SNOW! We might get a few inches tonight here in NC. Last year we had a pitiful 1/4 each of slush. I will be very upset with the weather channel if they are wrong! I will just keep my kids out of school ANYWAY! Yes I am headed out for MILK and BREAD. Isn't that what all Southerns do.

Introducing Our Beauty Queen!

Our daughter who is graduating this year from Southview Christian participated last night in the Senior Homecoming. Every member of her class is in the homecoming which is special! The school makes it very personal for the seniors. Each senior is introduce by sharing their family, college plans, and their life verse. When Allyson Lelia was introduce I just broke down. I am so proud of her and how she has grown into such a beautiful Godly young woman. As a Mom I still remember her as that cute sweet baby who loved sleeping with her Mommy. OK enough because I feel the tears coming. I love you Allyson!

The kids are all excited for Santa's arrival. Robert's brother, Bill and his wife June arrived in Mooresville. My nephew who is in the Army made it last night with his girlfriend Lisa. ( Hum I think we might have a new Julian by next Christmas. Welcome to the family Lisa)) . My house is looking pretty presentable thanks to my greatest husband who is vacuuming. The present are wrapped. I made ONE last batch of my famous cranberry, white chocolate cookies. We are headed soon to a Christmas Eve service at the Cove Church. Did you know Christmas can happen 365 days of the year? One very easy way! Invite Jesus Christ in your life and heart!Do it today! This is what God's wants for Christmas is YOU! Praying you are blessed as you joyfully welcome Christ into your homes and hearts. Merry Christmas Love From Robert Teri Morgan Jason Allyson Caroline Elijah!

WASH!

I got to take a break today from Christmas fun and wash clothes! If I don't undies will be on Santa's list for drop-off Wednesday night! Robert just left for Hanes Mall in Winston NC with 60 teenagers! I think Hanes Mall at Christmas sounds more terrifying than 60 teens! Allyson's youth group at our Church goes every year with our youth pastor. Robert does not have the opportunity much to hang with our youth so he volunteered to go chaperon. Tonight we are going too see Bolt and take the kids out to Pizza Hut! So I will get a break from the CLOTHES!

Santa, Gingerbread Houses and Fun!

Thursday night we headed out too see Santa at Concord Mills. There is the coolest Santa at Bass Pro shop. He really takes the time to talk to the kids. He always ask the kids "Tell Santa who has a Birthday at Christmas". Kudos to Bass Pro shop for keeping CHRIST in Christmas. We also had a delicious meal at Olive Garden before hand. Robert's parents Barret ( Papaw)and Billie ( Nanny) went with us , which was a extra treat to our kids and us too!! Friday the kids got out for Christmas Break! YAHOO! I love having my babies home with me! Last night I went with Allyson and 70 other youth to the Church for a Christmas Party for our Youth Group. They had Rice Fun catered in and it was delicious. They headed out on TWO buses for lights and Laser Tag in Charlotte. I did not go with them . One reason I would probably kill myself trying to play Laser Tag and the second reason would be they did not get in until 3:30 AM! Too late for this Momma! I had fun serving dinner with a BUNCH of awesome Youth Kids! How blessed my daughter is too be part of a great youth ministry! Today we have been just hanging here at the house. I made white chocolate cranberry cookies.. MELT IN YOUR MOUTH! Later on Robert, kids and I made a Gingerbread house and Ginger Bread Christmas Tree! MESSY BUT we are making memories for our kids! They will forget someday when they are older what Santa brought but they will never forget Mommy, Daddy, and their home covered in Gingerbread House icing. A few picture for your pleasure!

Sneaky Husband

Last night Robert said look at all those beautifully wrap gifts. I wanted to say YES HONEY I wrapped them all. I looked down and under the tree was a package wrapped by a professional wrapper and it had my name on it. The wrapper was my husband Robert who wraps better than the ladies at Belks ! My brother-in law came home from the hospital yesterday. Please continue to pray for him and June. He has a long road ahead of him through his recovery. Hopefully he will be home for good until his next surgery. I took KFC too Allyson's class party yesterday at school. She even invited me to stay. The young people in her class( 12th) are the most polite kids and all of them made me feel welcome. Allyson has only 9 seniors in her class and they are super close! Here is a awesome and powerful song and video . Please take the time to watch it. Jesus is coming back and soon! Let me ask you a personal question "Are you sleeping"????

Plays, Birthdays and more

Don't you hate to hear I have bad news and good news. Bad News! Robert's brother Bill after getting out of the hospital this past Wednesday had to go back Saturday morning. We think he got dehydrated. He is very discourage and does not see the end of the tunnel. Who can blame the poor guy. He was there before 43 days. We are praying that this time he will be there just a couple of days. Good News! Today is Bill Birthday. Happy 51 Bill. My kids were in two Christmas Plays this weekend at our Church. Elijah said never again. He hated wearing a tie, tucking his shirt in and did he not like to sing. He is a typically boy ;-) Caroline would had fun but would had enjoyed more if she had participated in the drama part. We still have one more Christmas play Monday tomorrow night at their school. Elijah will not be happy because he will have to tuck his shirt in, put on a tie and sing again Allyson my 17 yr old daughter went out Fri night and enjoyed the Twilight movie. It really is a teen chick flick. But I did enjoy spending time with her.

DONE!

Allyson has a research paper due today. She has been working hard on it for weeks. The subject she picked was not a easy subject to do research on. She ended up picking The International Mission Board. She found with help from our pastor ONE older written book and some info on the web and that was it! Last night after her game she came home to finish it up. She asked me to edited the paper for her. So I spent about a hr going over it. She lacked one more page after I edited the paper ( required nine pages). I helped her find some more filler info and the paper was finally finished! Poor girl was stressed out!!! Before she closed the paper she asked us about saving the paper. We told her if the save box did not come up she was OK. I had actually saved it MANY times as I edited it. We are not sure what she did but we could NEVER find her saved report on the laptop. Robert searched through so many files. Allyson of course was crushed and upset. So we started all over again. We still had her original paper that I edited from. It took ME and her two more hrs to edited her paper. She then spent even more time filling it back it with more info. She was very tired this morning and discouraged. We could had spent many more hrs on this paper last night but we were both tired. I actually went to bed and she worked more on it. I told her this morning not to stress out about her grade. She worked hard and even learned more about the International Mission Board. That was her goal to learn more about ( IBM) because it is her dream to work there someday! I am sure why your asking why I wrote about this on our family blog. I did not handle what happen last night very well as a parent. She and I ended up fussing the whole time while we worked on the paper. I did apologize this morning. I really messed up again as a parent of a teen. I could not ask for a better teen! There are many teens that are making unwise choices for their lives . Allyson loves our savior and has never gave us any serious problems. We actually get many compliments on her daughter! So Mom's and Dad's pick your battle wisely. Don't make the mistake I did last night. PS. She hugged me in the van this morning and said that is OK Mom I love you and thanks for your help last night. Thanks Allyson for loving me through my unwise choices
